Oraşul Însurăţei este situat pe malul drept al al râului Călmăţui şi este străbătut de şoseaua Brăila - Slobozia - Călăraşi. La cca. 7 km nord de Însurăţei , în lunca Călmăţuiului, se află Popina I, situată imediat lângă râu, la 220 m de un pinten al terasei acestuia şi la nord-vest de ferma "Rubla". |
