Situl a fost descoperit în vecinătatea nord-vestică a ştrandului termal Deta, la cca 130-150 m. Aşezarea se întinde pe terasa nordică a pârâului Birda Veche. Prima ridicare militară austriacă din sec. XVIII ne informează că, la vest şi la est, amplasamentul sitului a fost delimitat de zone joase, inundabile. |
